Will a digital DVD recorder work with my old non digital TV? - dvd recorders with digital tuner obviously, a different experience.

I think buying a new DVD burner (an old) stopped working and asked me whether I should buy a digital recorder. My TV is about 10 years, but still works well, it would be with my old DVR-TV work or do I need a digital TV? I will want to buy a new TV, but not for a while.

Anyn recommendations for a new DVD burner?
